We are looking for an experienced production manager to coordinate, guide and monitor the bunching, packing and shipping processes at our King George facility.

As Bloomia’s production manager you will be part of the management team and work together with the sales manager, head grower and the logistics and office manager and report to the General Manager.
You will have several supervisors working for you in the different departments.
As management team you will be responsible for a team of over 100 people, a of state-of-the-art greenhouse with fully automated climate control systems, and an year-round output of millions of flowers per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee, direct and coordinate day-to-day activities concerned with the bunching, packing and shipping of all floral products; Cultivate a spirit of collaboration within your departments while helping to achieve objectives that support Bloomia’s Mission and Vision. Fine-tune with the MT the Greenhouse, production and sales forecast to maintain an optimal inventory balance so all orders can be fulfilled on-time; Maintain an inventory level of picked flowers to fulfil the production/sales forecasts; Responsible for the data accuracy in SAP within your departments in cooperation with the office; Organize the hard goods inventory and monitor hard goods inventory levels in cooperation with the office; Monitor and manage staffing levels to achieve production targets; Provide guidance, direction and necessary training to all staff; Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel; Analyze the production processes focusing on continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cost-efficiency and employee satisfaction; Work within the MT on the annual budget and provide the budget data for the financial department at HQ; Within the MT responsible for the production department’s financial performance; Enforce health and safety precautions in accordance with OSHA regulation;
5+ years of experience in agricultural/floricultural production management; BSc/Ba in horticulture or business administration or relevant field is preferred; Excellent organizational and leaderships skills; 24/7 mentality and a team player Basic level of conversational Spanish is preferred; Experience with process management methodologies; Experience with inventory management, manufacturing orders, reporting, planning and forecasting; Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; Knowledge of OSHA legislation and procedures is preferred; Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts Experience in reporting on key production metrics Capacity to manage change and foster effective teamwork; Eager to grow and help others grow.
